POSSIBLE FIX FOR THE .dll ERRORS

Step 1: After installing SSE, immediately update it to 1.1
Step 2: Restart your PC
Step 3: Start up the game

I'm not sure if will help ehlp anyone but it did work with my SSE game.  :)

And sorry for the caps in the Subject.

EVERY single copy of SSE must be able to update.

Have you tried restarting your PC?

When I tried to update it said that I didnt have an installed version of SSE

I restarted my computer and tried to update to V1.1. It said: Unable to find valid installation of SSE

Don't worry. Steam does that with a lot of games. My SH5 has to wait two or three days to update automatically when the patch is released. I am never able to install a patch because it says that.

I haven't bought the game, yet, but I see on other forums, that a lot of people are having problem with this dll errors... I wanted to try the game, illegaly (sorry), so if I like it, I'm buyin' it... And I also got dll errors... With those, I couldn't see the whole game... The seas are really ugly, some ships have a lot of bugs... And then it came update 1.1... I installed it, tryed again with hope that there weren't any dll errors, but there were... I don't think that restarting computer will change many things... Also, I see that a lot of people can't properly install Nvidia Physx...I tryed to install them from tools folder, but hasn't changed thing to better... It even got worse... More and more dll errors... I finally deleted the game, very disappointed... I was really looking forward to it, but thing are just the way they are... When everything is fixed, new old game is coming to my pc...

I know how to take away the .ddl-errors!

Right-click the icon for the game. Select "Debug compatibility". Now search your computer for possible problems. Select "Start the application with the recommended settings". If the program say that you will use Windows XP Service Pack 2 click on "Launch". Close the "Application Compatibility" BEFORE Quest3D opens ShipSimExtremes, otherwise this "bug-removal" not work.

I do not know if this works on all computers, but that is how I make my new Windows 7. I have translated the description from Swedish to English by "Google Translate", so it is perhaps not perfect, but there is nothing to do about it!
A disadvantage is that you have to do that every time you start the game, and it does not guarantee that the game is not without faults and bugs!

Yeah, I know, but I don't think that causes dll errors... graphics are great, and game lags just a bit...... no other problems...

No... But you may buy a new computer, otherwise you can't play the game. But the low RAM-memory isn't the reason to the ".dll."-errors.

You should have tried the demo, it's much safer than the illegal way (and virus free). I downloaded them demo from amazon.com before I purchased the full version.  You should try the Amazon demo because it is not the steam version...   WARNING - if you buy the full version from Amazon you get the Steam version so order the full version directly from Shipsim.com, it's Steam free there.
