Ah :( :C

Some dogs do have some problems that they wont show until very confused. Its quite sad that your new dog is already bad and i feel sorry for it :(

Puppies are quite cute but they'll also grow into a adult one day. If you maybe want a good dog it would be good if you look for the right type of dog that is always calm and not aggressive to other dogs or humans. A dog that you can trust and play with and share your love with him/her. One good point is that when you have a good puppy, you could train it from small already to behave well and be able to walk round street without biting anyone. Its better than buying an adult that you have never trained yourself.

Hope you will find a better dog  :)

Hello Tore,

This is indeed sad news. My condolences. I am a dog lover too and I understand how you must be feeling.

I wish you had given Trix a chance. Dogs by nature have a tendency to watch and protect so he may have mistaken the identity of whom he bit. But I suppose you have certain laws in your country when it comes to incidents like this and you had no choice.

Hi vin

it was not in my hand to give him a other change, dogs have no Justice her in Norway, if a person say he or she are bit or frighten he shall be bitten you can go to police and say he bite and that it.
This was the first time and Trix was scared by the biker and he defended him self and was not rely bitten aider so it was nothing i cud do, he was the most kindes dog played with kids and all ....

The same thing happens to dogs that bite here, Tore..

I found some information about Newfoundlers ('Newfies' as they are fondly called), also known as gentle giants   :)

Perhaps it would be best to get them as a very young pup..
I sometimes watch 'the Dog Whisperer' with Cesar Milan on National Geographic Channel, and I am often amazed at the results he gets with his 'soft but firm approach'..

A sad loss Tore, and Trix was such a wonderful looking dog. I guess he just had a bad start in life. Newfoundlands were also of course bred as maritime rescue dogs; real sea dogs! I`m sure you gave the best you could to turn his life around. Please don`t let it put you off helping out dogs though. Maybe you could walk dogs for a while, as a way of keeping your interest. Dogs still need wonderful understanding people in their lives, such as your good self.

Keep well

Really sorry to hear about Trix, Tore...It seems very unfair how we as humans treat animals, even though they are only trying to protect themselves. :-\

Sorry for your loss.

 A lovely young cat Tore; having kept both cats and dogs, I can see the merits in each. Cats are amazing, little furry commandos one moment, and innocent little angels the next. I`m sure he`ll give you many years of love and friendship. I`m sure he`ll soon start showing his personality. Keep well.
