uh, i dont know if youre just joking, but the "u" clearly has just been left unpainted.

that doesent mean the name was changed.

i mean, seriously, a ship named caribo?

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

ive seen alot of beautiful ships in the breakers...

Edward L. Ryerson, J. A. W. Iglehart...

at least the metal is melted down to make more ships.

Yep that is true. But I still hope that does not happen with these to ferries.

Also, does anyone know why I could get plans of them from? I'd rather like to have a bash at modeling them sometime

I don't know what is going to happen to them yet. But as soon as I know I will be posting it here. :)
I don't where you could get plans for them. But If you make a model of one of them I love to see it

India seems to be buying a fair few ships that still have a decent life span left in them (we don't KNOW, do we- they might be wrecks under the nice paint).

Even the Pride of Telemark went for a price over 50% higher than you'd expect from a scrap hulk. There has been a decline in the worldwide price of scrap steel over the past year- although it went back up after the quake in Japan.

Odd.
