SR.N4s in ShipSim, after heavy thinking, it could work...
« on: September 06, 2010, 12:21:19 »

And also a slight apology to WM, just in case he still watches, after all those years of me saying how the controls would be too complicated...

Well I realised it can be done, since the front two prop are twinned for rotation, as well as the rear two...

Thruster - controls the Pitch of the Blades, must work in reverse
rudder wheel - controls the rudder ( ::))
Thruster 1 - similar to Freedom 90, rotates the front prop set by around 60'
Thruster 2 - rotates the rear prop set by around 60'

Simple

Ahh but with a SR.N4 a F90 repaint wouldn't be needed...

A pride of Dover would be nice  :2thumbs:
but to have the SNR4 for SSE the Ramps at both Dover and calais need to be acessable, as in like with the F90 it doesnt go anywhere near the top of the ramp  :-\

Ahh but that is the hovercraft - not the ramps

But on a good note - I have permission from Griffon Hoverwork to put a SRN4 in game  ;D

To be honest, I don't see how a SR.N4 would be so different to the Freedom 90 we have now.. :)

She is bigger...

and she has four props

Steering is different...

She would suit Dover-Calais

it would be a nice piece of respect against the greatest Hovercraft ever designed and built
