My SSE now completely unplayable but I have a solution!!!
Go back to SS08, it works, has loads of missions and will allow you to actually use Ship Simulator!

If you do not have it you can get it from Ebay for about £7.50, free postage, and nothing to V-Step so you won't have to worry about a refund......not that you'll need one, BECAUSE IT WORKS!

Any chance you already have had someone look at your dxdiag and such?

Problems as it might have, SSE is not completely unplayable. If that is the case, then there's something else wrong too, usually.

I'm trying a complete re-install with a new download which comes as 1.2.2 now without going through the update process.  Will see if this works.

Got a proper solution now.  May work for others who have downloaded their purchase from V-Step.

I un-installed (saving my profile etc)  I then downloaded the software fresh from V-Step......not installing the original then the update..... the download available to buyers now is the 1.2.2 version.

Installed and and hey presto, some of my previous issues have gone.... will see if I still get the other problems now.... hopefully not.

yeh my steam install just crashes all the time, and since I wanted an extra copy to host a stand alone server I have one directly from vstep and actually works perfect... might be some steam features crashing it
