gCaptain b log. Emma Maersk super ship.
« on: August 24, 2010, 20:16:45 »

Seen in a Gothenburg Newspaper that "Emma Maersk" were entering the largest port in Sweden. The photo shocked me because she was so huge it was from another planet !
I became interested to know more about this ship, and this website i was found among others.

But this website was in other parts so interesting to see and look around there. It update every day.

I recommned for those not seen this website before to check the "Photos" and the " Videos " in each upper lin at right.
Fantastic photos and thrilling or interesting clips form all over the world.

S/S Storskar, built 1908, tripplesteam-engine 660 Hp  (501,6kW),         Brt 235/Dwt 90, 14 knots,
320 passengers, still in traffic, but can't break the thick ice wintertime in the Archipelago (Skerries) of Stockholm, Sweden, so She has to be out of traffic at that time. Storskar = "Bigskerry".

Cool! Emma Maersk happens to be my favourite cargo ship, and Maersk being my favourite shipping line, too.. That reminds me, I sent a letter to them one time for fun, they set an awesome letter back with a whole bunch of "goodies"  :2thumbs:
