Vstep did a wonderful job on Ship Simulator Extremes. The oil from the Latitude, the water cannons from the Vermaas, and transfer of whale meat. And of course the deployables. This is gonna be a great game.

Naughty ADF, throwing rubbish overboard :o

We'll have to make sure she's tied down hard in port after that. And we need the police around her so she can't escape :P

transfer of whale meat

I doubt it's whale meat, theres no reason the a whale hunter would be sending boxed whale meat over to the factory ship. They transport the whole whale to the factory ship where it is processed aboard.. It is identified as a "cargo vessel" in the quest though, perhaps it is bringing in supplies or parts?

Also, are there no side thrusters on the OceanRainbow Warrior III? I see no controls for it in either the bridge or the pop-up controls, but doesent the image on the leftmost computer screen at 00:31 indicate that there are two thrusters?

Are there no fire monitors on either the Rainbow or the Esperanza?

Why is the port engine reporting 209RPM at 65% power, and the starboard 210 at 100%? (01:46)

What makes you think you won’t get QuestViewer aborts with SSE?
If you are getting frequent QV problems now, you might have a problem with your system that would prevent SSE from running.

Well the mission objective is to take a picture of that transfer. So it must be something that needs to be addressed the law. I only figured it was whale meat because of the objective :P

Oh, I wasnt actually doubting you Scott, rather the quest. It is a natural conclusion you made, and it might very well be a whale meat transfer youre supposed to photograph. It just doesent make sense for a whale hunter to send it to a factory ship prepackaged.

And as I forgot to say so in my first post Ill add it here, the game looks amazing and I cant wait to give it a try!

Haha. We'll probably never guess before the game is released(or Vstep tells us :P ) But I have no idea what that transfer was of.

Yes it looks fantastic but I have my reserved opinion about the new wake system.

Still looking forward to the release though ;D

I've had QV problems from day one since I bought SS2008, on my XP Home PC. When I upgraded to Windows 7, which involves a complete reformat of my hard drive and reinstall everything again, the QV problems are still there.

I also have SS2006 on my PC and it works perfectly when I had XP Home, even Windows 7 as well. Not a single QV abort.

It would be interesting to see how many people who use SS2008 has had experienced QV aborts, and how often. Judging by past comments on the forum I would say this has happened to a lot of people.

I have only ever had the questviewer issue when I didn't have the hardware to run the game. Once I upgraded my hardware, the problem went away.

It's your PC's hardware, not the game ;)
