Are there still any beta testers needed?

And yes, I have the full version of VS  :)

I tested all the ship in Vehicle Simulator, but couldn't get it to work for the Esperanza, the Arctic Sunrise took longer to load than all the other workable ships.

Yha, cause theirs lots of detail in them both, you have to let them load they do take 3-5 minutes to load i have found once.. and you cant click around cause youll freeze the game and crash the game

I'm running the Vehicle Simulator Demo. Highest allowed of Gameplay is 5 minutes, and this Demo is glitched, I got a dozen of ships in Vehicle Sim, and it is at 300 seconds, the max gameplay of this demo is 5 minutes (300 Seconds). And also, when I sheck the Task Manager, it said Vehicle Simulator is Not Responding. the only thing is, Kyle's Fully finished Titanic plays, but not the Esperanza. Weird. but I know it would work. I might even plan on using all of them for a video on YouTube.

But Virtual Sailor vessels are also made for Vehicle Simulator use. The creator of Virtual Sailor made it simpler of new ships. :thumbs:

These are the reasons reported to me why my ships arent alound in the VS Library

There is nothing below the waterline.
One of the models has a propeller that does not work and no rudder;
There is no steering equipment.
The bridge layout is a lot of multicoloured lego bricks : no wheel no throttles etc -i.e no parts
The hull shape is not accurate and does not reflect actual hull shapes.
A Vs model is designed for a person to sit in the bridge and sail tha ship. You can't do that with these models.
So i hope you understand the problems and can do something to improve your models,
if you have a good model upload one, and wait to see if it is kept, them upload more when
they are better.

That is going overboard - The hull beneath a ship is very hard to model, and most people have never really seen a probably not seen inside a bridge. So you have to make the propeller rotate - seems very heavy work on the computer for a simulator where they expect you to sit in the bridge...

I honestly think the best thing to do with those odd staff members at VS is to tell them where to stuff their propellers and rudders and just leave. :)

I know nothing of the library over there, but nevertheless  isn't it a bit risky uploading something like that with your username? He could ban you forever and then you will never be able to upload models again!

Kind Regards

Some content removed;

Even though you might have a somewhat valid point, Devin, the VS staff have every right to make rules/guidelines as they see fit.

No one buys VS with an included right to have their addons put on a site or in an addon library and it's their right to refuse some models, if they want to. And what he lists is not untrue. Might be nitpicking and too strict when you look at their 'open structured game' method of old, but it IS their choice. If they want to start raising the bar, then you'll just have to work harder to get there.

I don't agree with this new approach, but that still doesn't mean that the SS forum here is to be used for vindictive posts or other material meant to 'get back at them'.

It's not what we do here. If you want to make a point about the VS staff or forum being unfair, or whatever, then you should do it there, where they can see it, not here where ít has no place.

So please. Keep your personal issues with VS and their staff away from the shipsim forum. Showing off your 3d work is okay here. But the rest, and basically that includes the beta testing stuff too, is not SS related, and thus should not be on this forum. Releases for another game and the testing thereof don't really belong here, but we can be okay with that up to a point. But don't take it too far.

So try to keep that in mind.

Thanks very much.

Regards,
Fred
