I don't think this topic should have a poll. Ship Simulator Extremes doesn't need either SS06 nor SS08. SSE is its own game of the Ship Simulator Series. And any joysticks and controllers ARE optional with the Keyboard/Mouse controls.

He was talking about SSE, Tore

The truth is, we don't know. I should think that Vstep will test the game on Windows 7, but they might not.

Hello!

First of all, leeoc welcom to the forum, and have fun!!

Maybe you get that from "The Sims" games, who need all versions to play the latest.
But in "Ship Simulator" that's not needed! You can buy the "Ship Simulator Extremes" and play it, you don't need the previous versions to play!
You can play with the joystick, also there is a console on the www.shipsim.com wich you can buy and sail with it as a great captain. You can find all info at the shipsim.
It's very intersting to play on that.

About Windows 7, the game should DEFINITLY WORK! This sistem is created for all of the new games, it has the best engine, also it's optimized for the games. All the new games should works perfectly on the Windows 7!

I'm playing it on the Windows 7, the ShipSim 2006 and the ShipSim2008, and it works perfectly.
I didn't have ANY, BUT ANY problem. It works just great, so you don't should be vorey about that question.

Kind regards.

I doubt it would come with ship editor but i don't think you could change colours on ships since Vstep already design these ships just for realism and dynamics to be the exact replica of a particular ship.

Hi Tore,

Back in January, in a press interview with Frank, the reporter wrote that there would be a “Ship editor” in SSE. He was mistaken. He was thinking of the Mission Editor.

Marty

Yes.

That's the web site where we get that out: http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/106/1062786p1.html

There are also some topic on the forum.
It was strange to me, the ship editor, that sound to perfect to be true.

So on the end, that's not true?? Oh that's bad . Anyway, i guess that's not true, it would be to great to have that, and also it sounds to complicated...

Kind regards.

Well, I think the entire article is pure copy-and-paste-work. I don't believe that the author ever has seen the game. Hollow stuff, which most of us could have written ...

This seems to be the question of the day  :-\

It appears if it is so there will be a lot of people disappointed...

its not just the processor either...

memory, video card, HD space

I think SSE is going to end up more powerful then most users PCs...

Well, some days ago the requirements were as they are listed by TJK.

So I'm quite upset about that - because I already have updated my CPU - and the graphics card should easily be good enough. Now I red the new specs, and neither the CPU nor the graphics card are good enough. With these specs I need a new PC - and it has to be high end. And I do NOT buy an expensive PC just for one game.
