My Film about Iscomar + 56K WARNING!! (photos)
« on: July 17, 2010, 21:32:12 »

Hey everyone,

So as you may know, I have just come back from my holiday from Menorca.
During the crossing on the ferry I filmed many various little bits to finally make a small film about the ship.

So below is the link to my film! I hope you can watch it, and if you do watch it then please watch it all the way through, it's no good otherwise if you fast forward or skip bits, you might miss something cool!  .
Please tell me what you think  And even though the deleted scene is quite funny I want you to focus on the main film!

FILM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIS9XJi33ps
DELETED SCENE: http://tinypic.com/r/260bbxx/3 (Ferry loading gone wrong)

And below are a few photos taken whilst on the ship and at sea etc.

Kind Regards

Matthew

Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to hear

I spent ages trying to work out all the codecs and fixing general problems computer wise.
But it paid off in the end!

I enjoy watching it every time, I hope everyone else does

Thanks  I like it too (but believe me it does NOT handle well in rough seas!)

My favourite bits in the video are when the 1st officer sounds the horn, and then at the end nearly whenthe guy throws the mooring rope out.  :2thumbs:

Great video  :2thumbs:

What is she like the Nura Nova?

Does the Mediterranean have rough seas often - I thought it was quite calm?

The Nura Nova is fine really. Very old and tired though, she dates back to 1977 when she was built in Japan for a dutch ferry company to operate from Rotterdam to places in Germany.

And it can get rough here, not very often but when it does get rough it is ROUGH!
This video is of the same ship and route: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj_gTR3JaO4
And thats how it unfortunately was on the way back from Menorca

Of Iscomar, I sailed on one of the charter vessels once.

It was an experience.

All I have sailed on Iscomar with is the Nura Nova.

All the other ships are impounded in Barcelona!

Yeah, I had heard that Iscomar had gone bust, to be honest the Isabel and the Mercedes used to spend most of their time tied up in Barcelona or Valencia anyway with various mechanical problems.
