Release date extended?
« on: May 18, 2010, 18:57:49 »

Really Awesome job on the ShipSim.com website, Now thats a "extreme" website. (Copyright is used as quotation marks for me) ( dont know the keyboard trick)

anyways...

I saw that the release date for Ship Simulator Extremes has been extended to August 24th 2010?

Was there some problems that had to be fixed before the release date?

2 months extended?

Thanks,

Gene Dalessandro

P.S==>  Really Awesome Job on Extremes and the ShipSim.com Website!. =)

Maybe there are some problems, or testings...

There will still be 10 days to play before school  ;D.

Anyway, very good job. "Extreme" site. Designe is very nice and elegant.
Hope there will be a lot of news on it  ;).

Kind regards!

SSE is yet to enter beta testing (according to mvsmith). Apparently it will take 2 months to beta test, so August is perhaps a best case scenario. If something comes up in beta, then it will take longer.

Apologies for upping this old thread, but seemed the most relevant, is SSE still having a European release on the 24th? Since Franks last post said it was being released now on the 27th?

Thanks,

Actually, they are showing the American Release which is the final release of the official game, Europe will still get Ship Simulator Extremes on August 24th. Besides, Ship Simulator 2008 released for Europe a few days early of the American Release.

I'm slightly confused...does this mean Ship Sim Extremes will be available to download in Europe from the 24th, or the 27th? I thought it was the 27th beforehand?

I thought the date was orginally the 24th for Europe, and 27th for US, but now Frank just said about the 27th, no mention of the 24th...

Weird...I must be mistaken. I just thought I remember saying to mum a couple of days ago that the release date was the 27th. Odd!

Either way, i'm not overly fussed as long as I get a few days out of it in the summer holidays :P

Hi everyone,

It's all synced now. So let's not make things more complex than they need to be.  :2thumbs:
Official and confirmed release date is the 27th, both for retail and download.

Hope that clears up some things!

But is that for both US and Europe? As you said they would be different..

Trust me, these dates are a pain to us as well, especially if they change from time to time for different reasons. But rest assured now, from now on it's just one official release date: the 27th!

And it's official now. So if anything changes with the date from now on, I'll jump into the Rotterdam Maas, or let you guys throw me in yourselves! ;)

I've never been to Rotterdam. That'll be a nice trip :)

As you can guess, I have little faith :P
