Hovercraft not exactly... amphibious
« on: August 27, 2010, 20:49:44 »

Hi, me again I am afraid

speaking to some people playing the game, the Freedom 90 appears to be not able to use the Hoverpads at either Dover or Calais?

Dover apparently does nothing, and at Calais she goes up a little bit... and gets stuck?

Seems... strange?

Sorry,

TFM

Hi Just checked, and the Freedom 90 also gets stuck at Ryde - is this an issue with the F90 then? when she goes up she only goes so far and gets stuck, as if she has grounded?

Gentlemen,

The hovercraft cannot travel on land or the ramps at D&C. I do not know when that will be fixed, or even if it can be fixed in the new architecture.
If the bow is beached in Bora Bora, the thrust ducts may not be able to push her back.

You can download a monograph on operating Freedom 90 here:

OK, thanks for the info Marty

Hopefully she will be sorted out for the future.

Can you still get the skirt to deinflate?

Hi TFM,

If you mean that you can’t get a white dot to drag the skirt throttle down, I have the same problem.
All I can suggest now is use the control on the bridge. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I doubt they are going to fix this, then they would have to work a lot on the scenery for travelling.

I got all the throttles set to 0 and nothing happened - I assume this Freedom 90 has a fixed skirt, unlike the inflatable SS08 skirt

It has an inflatable skirt, but you can’t notice much difference. It can’t travel over land.
