Drivers update
« on: March 30, 2010, 18:15:09 »

I have a nice old system that works ok, but I have read a lot here how important it is to update your drivers..
Why ?   I don't buy new games (awaiting SSE  ;) )   So why update my (graphics card) drivers ?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.. :)

HI

new drivers have more to the card, can have new things, it can work faster and it can be more powerfully
so it not bad to update the drivers, not only the graphic card but also other things in you PC.
chip sett, network card and so on even the bios but that are not for anyone, you most know how to, if you do it wrong it can destroy you motherboard.
visit you motherboards website and you will find new drivers

Thanks Tore, as I'm not very computer minded, I'm not going anywhere near motherboard or processor drivers..
I raise the question because the last time I updated my graphics drivers it led to a severe malfunction, resulting in a reinstallment of Windows..
I might get brave and update my videocard driver (8800GT), which is allmost a year old.. :)
