Naftis Forum and community
« on: September 22, 2009, 02:39:25 »

Hello everyone, me and Capt. Matt have started a new community forum, for Ship Sim, VS, and 3D Modelling, and just for relaxing and sitting back, Your Priority is Our Priority at Naftis!

So, here is a little explanation for those who want some more information...
Naftis is a community to bring people together, make friends, have fun, and Make the game Ship Simualtor 08 a better experience by organizing various events, such as races, and regular meetings, aswell as with Virtual Sailor. This is also a 3D Modelling community, where you can get tutorials on modelling, show off your models, enter into contests, and so much more.  The community servers help out with that. Also, we have decided to pick a unique name, Naftis means Sailor in Greek!

Our number one priority here is to make sure to have fun, and make friends.

I hope that cleared everything up for you, if there is anything else that needs clearing up, please drop me a PM, or post here, and ill get right on it as soon as possible.

Please join us at http://naftisline.freehostia.com/index.php

Me and Matt have agreed that SME and BSL are dead, so we ahve obviously just combined the idea's, to make a bigger forum for everyone to be gathered on, instead of being seperated.

Do you think that they & many other such forums are dead just because people are way too fed up with all these forums that we get new one each day, & wanted to stay on main forum?

And no, Kapn Jonah, I'm not saying anything against your forums.  Just my thoughts about why they & other are dead.

I didn't say anything like that WM...
And, having separate forums is great too, some are against it, although many are for it, if your against it, you don't have to join it. I didnt make this topic to try and force people into joining, its a choice, and if you join, your making a good choice.

Naftis will be having a meeting tomorrow night, maybe a race, at 8 pm EST.

Hey guys,
Just like to throw some things out there, we now have added some Mods to our forum, we have a Chat/Shoutbox, we can add flags to our profiles, double post stopper, an "advanced" image uploader, customizable time zones, and we are taking suggestions for things that members would like on the forum.

There's been word about a Quick Post box, but i have yet to find one, if anyone knows where one can be found please contact me via PM here on the SS forum or the Naftis Community Forum

Yes there is a way;

Admin > Themes and Layouts > Member Options > "Change current options for all members using this theme" under the theme you are using. > "Use quick reply on topic display:"

Same could be done to future members with "Configure guest and new user options for this theme" at the Member Options page.

It already had it, I just had to edit it in my profile, not really a new feature.
