Huh? This must be a very strong ship to be able to survive that many torpedoes! ::)

Jack, in Matt's mind everything is possible! ::)

T2 is made with 10 layers of metal hull, making her the invincible ship :2thumbs: So Are all but Titanicana, OSL ran out of metal for the hull of Titanicana but now has that 10 layers after her reconstruction as a ferry now. but back on topic instead of talking about Titanic 2, Olympic 2 (Now no longer Olympic 2 (now is SS Olympus for Summertime Cruise Lines) Britannic 2 and Titanicana.

Seriously, VLCC Britannic hit the USS Olympic in a Bermuda Triangle which caused the mysterious vanishing of the     m/v Titanic 2;)

Am I the only SANE one here?  ??? :o ::)

Thanks WM... Good idea... Reading BETWEEN the lines is proving to be better than reading the ACTUAL lines...  ;D

They are going on about ships they have made, I think.

I hope the real live crew of the real boat are found safe and well...

I am adding some salt to this soup ;>

"Kadonneen aluksen laituripaikan tienoilta mitattiin Pietarsaaressa radioaktiivisuutta, kertoo Österbottens Tidning. Mittaukset kuitenkin lopetetttiin, koska ne todettiin tarpeettomiksi.

IL-STT"

And via GT:

""Near the ships pier in Jakobstad was measured some radioactivity, "says Österbottens Tidning. Measurements was stopped, however, because they were found useless.

Very unusual indeed...You'd think it would be passing other ships somewhere...and it's not like they can avoid eachother, or hide, is it?

Very odd...Especially with modern technology, you'd think they'd be able to do something.

"As from December 2004, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires all vessels over 299GT to carry an AIS transponder on board, which transmits their position, speed and course, among some other static information, such as vessel’s name, dimensions and voyage details. "

So why would they disable the transponder?

Well that is the mystery  ;)

Current theory is the pirates boarded in Scandinavia, and never left...

Think about it. If you were boarded by pirates by suprise, and one of them pulled a gun or something, you might not exactly rush to raise the alarm - Would you? Fearing for the Crew's safety as well?

I hope the real live crew of the real boat are found safe and well...

PERHAPS they are having a 'whale' of a time... making the world think they've been hijacked and are about to get the ransom payment AND the sympathy of the world as victims... Or knowing President (PM) Putin perhaps they will get a torpedo...

OR maybe they really are hijacked and have a cargo of uranium... :sleepy: and it is crewed by princess diana, lord lucan, elvis presley and all the other members of the modern conspiracy theories :sleepy: :sleepy: :sleepy:

Very unusual indeed...You'd think it would be passing other ships somewhere...and it's not like they can avoid eachother, or hide, is it?Jack.

Unless it was doing something odd in the Dover Straits, no one is going to pay any attention to 'yet another freighter'.... OR POSSIBLY... It WAS operating a transponder, but of a different ship so that no one said "Weird... There's a ship there with no transponder..". So I'd say right now the Coastguard et al will be going through the AIS logs looking for any ship they can not trace... Not a quick job.
