In my opinion, if she did even plough into the ice-berg bow first, she would of been so badly mashed up that she probably would of sustained serious damage, regardless. And I certainly don't think she would of been in any position to sail anywhere. Though, possibly, people may of been saved.
But, look at it this way. You see an ice-berg coming towards you. What is your immediate reaction? Avoid it. Not plough straight into it.
As for the other ship, The wireless operator had bluntly told the ship to "Shut up", as it was intercepting signals from another ship, in which Titanic was communicating with. This ship then turned off the wireless, and thus, Titanic had sealed it's fate for good.
Titanic's Sinking was not due to one single thing, but many things. One lead to another, a chain of events occured. There were no binoculars in the crowes nest, exsessive speed, rivets, wireless, the belief that she was un-sinkable, the loss of communication between officers and the captain when lowering lifeboats after the collision, so many things. And Unfortunately, Titanic payed the ultimate price, along with it's passengers.
Jack.
