Campers infected by swine flu here in Muskoka
« on: July 17, 2009, 20:02:18 »

I've just read my town's newspaper...

...more than 200 people at as many as six area summer camps have been infected with H1N1 influenza.  I am starting to get very corcerned at this  :(  For a while, I wasn't hearing much about the swine flu and now this?!

I just hope that I don't get it or anybody in my family.

Let's step in back and put H1N1 in perspective here. Now I don't have the numbers to back this up, but i think more people are dying every day of old age than swine flu.

It's irrlevant anyway. We're all doomed from a recurring SARS, or BIRD flu, or Spanish flue, or WINTER flu or IOWNADRUGSCOMPANYANDWANTTOMAKELOTSOFMONEYBYRELEASINGITANDSELLINGTHEREMEDY-flu.

A cynic would say it's just a ploy by rich pharmaceutical companies wanting to make money and governments wanting to declare states of emergency to avoid general elections. Oops. I forgot, I'm not a cynic, am I
