Ultimate Gaming Pod
« on: July 07, 2009, 21:29:15 »

Well I just bought myself a new gaming PC ;D

I plan on building a custom gaming enclosure for all my high powered games such as Ship Simulator, Flight Simulator, 18 Wheels of Steel, Tower Simulator, Alaskan Storm, And the most demanding of them all Trainz 2009.

I thought I might include the total manifest of my new custom computer... :)

HP Pavilion Elite d5200t ATX customizable Desktop PC

   * • Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad processor Q9600 [3.0GHz, 12MB L2, 1333MHz FSB]
    * • 8GB DDR2-800MHz dual channel SDRAM [4 DIMMs]
    * • FREE UPGRADE! 640GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive from 500GB
   * • 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT [2 DVI, HDMI adapter]
    * • LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
    * • Integrated 7.1 channel sound with front audio ports

Or it might be that your machine is so obviously good that they think the poll is just for larking about. It's a bit like asking "Is gold golden coloured: Yes/No". You'd get a lot of "No" votes.

That is a very good set of specs, by the way.

I also plan to have duel Screen. ;D

So, people with swords will be a frequent feature?  :evil:

Of course im trying to annoy you, you ask if a 164 foot yacht is nice and make a poll people are gonna vote NO to be pains, as I did ;D  ::)   :evil:

I hope you live in a good neighborhood or you are putting that in a room with no windows :P

Very similar to my pavilion, I opted for the amd quad chipset though as I find they run better than intel.
Did you get a monitor with it? if not the hp w2448hc is excellent. Ive not got mine set up to dual screens yet because I cant be bothered to buy a bigger desk ::)

Overall hp have come a long way and you wont be dissapointed.

Forgot to add that hp dont use the best cooling systems so I added a water cooled system as they are much better at dispursing the heat.

And throwing the occasional glass of cold water over it will not work, that WILL make you DEAD  ;D

Great one more money sink :P I thought the boat was bad :doh:

I just got portion one of the new computer, The Screen 23.5 inch black beauty.  Next will be the noise canceling head phones, then the other screen, then the desk, then the chair, and finally the computer.

Then comes the fun part, setting it up while building the enclosure. ::) ;D
