GPS position is way off

Whilst sailing a tanker in the Channel today I noticed that the displayed GPS position actually put me in the centre of Belgium (never a good place to be). My apologies if this is a known bug, I only received the game today.

This sounds like some kind of BUG, The GPS doesn't always show the exact position(in real life too) but this sound very extreme

btw what's wrong with belgium??...

Whilst I'm on the topic, why do I have to use Google Earth to find out where I am? Should that not be in the game?

Well I don't know if you've noticed but the in-game chart doesn't show any land when using the Channel region, so you have no idea where you are.
