for me it's three: gregor the overlander series (finished the series), the lightning thief (still need to read the last two books), and alex rider series (still have about 4 boks left in the series)

My favourites are the books by W.Michael Gear & Katleen O'Neal Gear about the first inhabitants of the America's. Those books are titled "The People of.......followed by The Wolf, The Lakes, The Fire, The Masks, The Mist etc etc. The last one I have is titled The People of the Owl. Till now I own 11 parts out of 16, each one about 630 pages.

I have a considerable library here. Loads of technical and reference books, and also a lot of science fiction.

Favourites? Very difficult to say.

I love reading the "Past and Present" series of books covering railway lines in the UK.

But then I also love reading the various Palentology books.

The Golden Age Science fiction books are also high on the list.

And so are the Star Trek books.

And all the other books.

Myself, I've always been a fan of the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer, it was one of the first book series I got into after leaving Harry Potter in the dust (Sorry, but I lost interest when puberty kicked in. )...What can I say, a world with futuristic fairies, an evil genius-turned hero and modern earth technology, as well as witty dialogue appeals to me.

I seem to go for the more gritty side of fantasy, really, I mean, I've read through most of Darren Shan's books about demons, where you have graphically described to you characters being ripped apart, punished and other things I will not discuss.

To be honest, I can't choose a definitive favourite, but these two are what I read into the most.

I am a big Star Wars Fan, and I have shelves full of Star Wars books!

I also have a small but ever-growing collection of ferry related books (but you never saw that coming  )

Also, I too have a few books on the history of my local railway lines.

Have a few more as well, I do like reading books

I have both volumes of that book, too.

I also have the model maker manual by Peter Davies-Garner.

I really like books about technical stuff, even if I don't understand all of it. Science and astronomy, that kind of stuff captivates me.

I also like occasional mysteries, or a good Stephen King book.

I also like funny or satirical books.
Lately, I've been listening to a audio book by comedian Lewis Black, called "Me of Little Faith."
"I am America and so Can You" is also a good book by Stephen Colbert, not sure how many of you know about him. 
But like the Lewis Black book, Colbert's is also good in audio form. That's when the comedy is best.

But, I'm not sure if audio books would really count...
