The Anfield has something which belonged to a ship scrapped in 1889-1890. What is this 'something' and to which ship did it belong?

At the time of her local break-up Liverpool Football Club were looking for a flagpole for their Anfield ground and consequently purchased her top mast. It still stands there today, at the Kop end.
It belonged to the SS Great Eastern..

@Salty, That ship looks like either the National Geographic Sea Bird or National Geographic Sea Lion, but I will go for the Nat. Geo. Sea Bird to be that ship. The 1982 part must be incorrect as that references the National Geo. Explorer whom has a different structure, The Sea Bird and Sea Lion were 2001.

@David04928, That question is SO old! Why answer that and not the current one?

Right matt, it's the National Geographic Sea Bird, but either one would have been ok as they're identical..
The year of build is 1982 by my  info  (http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdetails.aspx?MMSI=366892350).. You may be confused by the date when she was refurbished..

the M/S Oriana, owned by P&O. After her long life, she became a tourist center in Beppu, Kyoshu in Japan.

But i think she was scrapped recently...

Should be easy for ferry-lovers/goers:
During construction, which P&O Ferries Sisters were named with the name of the other sister and which was brought in first and for what reason?

Had to come up with a question after not having one for a long time.

Matt - Pride of Hull/Rotterdam - the first keel was laid down as Pride of Hull but she was completed as Pride of Rotterdam as extra funding was obtained to allow the Dutch vessel to be the first in service.
