I Googled her.. :)
Her purpose was to hoist sunken submarines with her four 250 ton lifting rigs. Modern subs are too big for her, but she remains in service as a submersible support ship.
Built in the Netherlands, I see.. :)

Just out of curiousity: is the Kommuna the oldest ship in service in the Russian navy..?
 (or maybe anywhere else..)  1915 is pretty old..
