I really enjoyed the 1953's Nearer, My God, To Thee scene. While inaccurate, it expressed mood far better than any modern film ever could.

And I agree that the 1997 film was awful.

I perfer Titanic (1997).  Titanic: the Animated Movie is a bit cheesy and weird.

Awful in the sense that he focused more on the whole "Oh Jack! I will save you!". Obvious because he got the location of the master-at-arms' room completely wrong. And when they went into the boiler rooms, the route didn't exist. Neither did that door they broke down to get in that hallway. It would be a lot better if Jim went back and Re-did a documentary WITHOUT Jack and Jill Rose. Hey G, is that 1953 nearer my god to thee scene on youtube? ;D

Yes:

You forgot the magical door into the cargo holds that Jack made so they could "do the act" in some poor soul's car, and the convenient, but non-existant fire ax. Then the odd dissappearence of Bruce Ismay from his parlor suite of B-52, B-54, and B-56. Let's not also forget the instantaneous trip from the previously mentioned car cargo hold on the Orlop Deck to the forward well deck on C-Deck, completely skipping G-, F-, E-, and D-deck. They also show Titanic's bridge lights on at night. The crew needed night vision back then, you know! It takes 30 minutes of darkness to completely develop, but can be lost in an instant when exposed to light!

What, you won't pick one unless it portrays the near miss with the SS New York in Southampton? ;D :P
