I must admit there are lots of people that would say that, i thought had the same view, until i realised the great features and annimations in fsx. But what ever suits you.

If you allready have one connected, yes it would work
If you're considering buying one, make sure you can connect it to your computer (15-pins gameport)
Otherwise get a joystick with a USB connection..

There are a few million more add ons for FS2004 that make it look a few million times better than FSX.

I personally got fed up with fs2004 when the new kid was on the block, do you get PC PILOT
