free roam mode and other questions
« on: December 06, 2008, 09:07:09 »

hi all

i am fresh here. i'm considering to buy SS2008, due to that i have few questions regarding "roam mode" and game itself.
i was searching forum, but couldn't find such topic.

question no1:
is "roam mode" giving opportunity to move any place in the world?
is it possible to sail through Panama Channel, or Strait of Gibraltar?

question no2
i know that few harbours are detailed, but what about others, other countries?

question no3
what kind of navigation tools will i have?

question no4
is it possible to plan sea voyage? (kind of planner feature)

i think is enough? :)
thx for answers and support.

Hiya Welcome to the forum :)

1. In free roam you can travel to any harbour included in the game. But to switch between harbours, you need to load the other one.

Neither of them are included at this time ;)

2. At the moment, the only harbours we have in the game are the ones that can be viewed on the website.

3. You have charts, radar, compass, longitude, lattitude, etc. All on an in game information bar :)

4. You can either make a mission with the harbours you want, or you can use free roam. You can add waypoints in free roam. But there is no specific sea planner as such ;)

Hope this helps,
SA :)
