nooooooo........obviously.....Pikkabird is the creator of the LMS Class 08 and Class 42(seen in backround,first scene)that were reskined to look like Splodge and Diesel 10. and so then by saying that your saying all the Thomas engines in the game are copyright....the movie is 8 years old so i bet they won't worry too much.

As the copyright for all Thomas the Tank Engine characters is owned by the survivors of the Reverend Wilbert Awdry (the man who created them), and that the family have dedicated copyright agents who are paid to protect their copyright, you can bet that the copyright is feriously protected.

Just because you only know of some film, don't imagine for one minute that was the sole copyright issue. The TV series still generates a lot of money. Ringo Star has probably earnt as much money from that as from his days with that group, the Wassanames.

But both the film and the TV series were licensed by the Rev Awdry and Co.

Which bit of "The copyright is actively pursued by the family of the creator" is unclear?

The film (movie) was licensed to use them. That isn't where copyright lies. Your comment about it being 8 years old is irrelevant.

Let me help you with your studies:

When someone created a work, be it an image, a program, written words, songs, etc, they have absolute control over what can be done with it. No person is permitted to make copies, use it or abuse it without permission.

Using other people's work without their prior written permission is classed as theft.

All countries around the world have agreements that mean people breaching copyright can be extradited and tried for it. Most countries can imprison you for up to 25 years and impose unlimited fines for breach of copyright.

Any one found breaching copyright on this forum can expect rapid and very definite action.

When you get extradited to the UK as Terry says, bear in mind that during your 25 years in gaol you won't have a computer!!!
