« on: September 27, 2008, 15:40:43 »

Ok, I have some small projects in progress. One is just for fun and it is a color photo of Britannic. The others are rough Drafts on Britannic''s Funnels. (3d Models)(I did those from my head, No blueprints but i did Keep basic Dimensions in mind) Enjoy! Please comment.  ;)

I always had a weakness for the britannic. I remember my very first time here on the forum, when i started a topic about adding the britannic to the game. unfortunatly they said that she looked to much on her sister ship the Titanic. nice job BtW.  :)

Im now working on starting the smoke and its particals. It doesnt always start out look realistic, but the end result can be stunning. EDIT. Here you go guys. This was after hard work and many Re-starts but you can only get better Eh? And I am also working on having this more realistic. Also Night shota and different time of day shots:Tell me what you guys think.

Hey, fire, the HMHS Britannic's funnels were White Star Buff (the color of the lower half of Titanic's funnels), which was the ship's only indication of being owned by the company. The HTML color code for a fresh coat of this color, as believed by Ken Marschell (last name sp?) is #DAA06D, which is:

Red: 218
Green: 160
Blue: 109

So you get the right color ;)

I say go ahead and finish the ship!

It's a good amount of work, but I can do it.

Those figures were from memory, though. I remembered it from the TRMA forum when I asked for the code.

This text is in White Star Buff.

The program's RGB selector isnt quite right. Like for the materials. It only goes up to 1.000. lol. So i cant enter 109 or anything. And I tried 0.109 and all that but it doesnt work. EDIT. Guys I am working harder and harder and have acheived this nice night shot. I knew it wasnt a lie about Her Funnels having lights but i didnt know where so maybe Gigantic could know. (Im too lazy too look at a pic)

Titanic had no lights on her funnels. I can tell you that. You would need to look up info on the Britannic, which is just outside my knowledge range.

Also, the code was for RGB between 0 and 255 per color!

I've found the blue prints and old black and white pictures of the funnels and this is what I got.

Or if you really want a realistic look of the ages.
