Llamalord, are you aware that if this gets in Ship Sim, this would be the only ship in the game to be older than Titanic?

I was told in another thread that Furie and Titanic are currently the only Edwardian (1901-1918) vessels in Ship Sim, making Titanic the oldest ship in the game. Not only would this ship be another Edwardian ship, but it would take Titanic's title as the oldest ship in Ship Simulator.

I've been working very hard on the pilot house on the SS Sabino in the past week or two.  That means that it is almost time for new renders. Stay tuned...

This is a Preview of what the Pilot House looks like now at ~40% completion.

Later when I have more time I will give you some more renders from different angles.

P.S. I took the picture while I was on the Sabino my last visit.

That's a REALLY nice looking craft there! Which program do you use to model and render in? I need some help with my models, as I can't seem to get them looking right.

Again, nice model, you have a lot of talent there!  ;) :)

I use True Space 5.2 Pro

As already discussed in many other places on this forum True Space is free but only the latest version that can't export nearly as much and has many fewer capabilities.  True Space 5.2 Pro cost me $500 US when I upgraded from the already $300 Version 4.3.

Rendering is done with a built in True Space render'er' :P which can handle everything from Ray-Tracing, Foreground effects, shadows, Radiosity(sp), Anti-Alising X4, Ray Casting, And Tone Mapping.

Thanks so much for your love of my model and my modeling skills. ;)

There will be some more detailed renders later today when I start up my other computer.

Please Note

I have solved the problem of some people not being able to view the full sized images of my renders!

I have added a link under any image I deem worthy of having the full sized image viewed.  Just click on the link and view the Sabino in all it's glory.

Not only will there be more renders of the entire ship and every inch of it later today, I am asking for your help.  Looking at the real pictures I have posted of the SS Sabino in other posts I would appreciate it greatly if you would look over the ship for anything really obvious that I've missed.  Given that the pilot house is still not completed on the inside and out I know already of many things that are missing from that area.  I can only imagine how stupid I would would feel later if I missed something like... say... a lifeboat.  Yes in fact that is missing and I will adding it later today.

Thanks in advance,
  Nick

Hey, llamalord, if you want to have this model to be the oldest ship in Ship Sim, you better finish it fast before Jason De Donno finishes Titanic and decides on modeling the RMS Campania! That ship SANK the year Sabino was built!
