MSTS2 will being released in October 2009 that are the latest from Microsoft now

I think it has an extra set of activities and lines included. You can get it for $16.49 on Amazon.

And there is so much excellent content available, much of it for free, that "yes, well worth it" is my answer.

I ordered MSTS from Amazon in the red box from Xplosive. I joined UKTrainsim and Trainsim and did a search for Xplosive and the threads seemed to indicate that it included the version 1.2 update that's why I opted for it.

OK, but you can download the update for free.

Once you've installed it, Googe for msts-bin and then install the updates rom that site. They fix a huge number of problems and add all sorts of goodies. It's a group of well-respected tecchies who have reverse engineered MSTS and are fixing the problems once by one.
