No. If you look in suggestions section, you will see it is being discussed occasionally.

If you think it important, make a suggestion. The more people (sensibly) elect their preferred additions for the future, the more chance of it getting in the game.

Afraid not likely.
You need 2.4Ghz
Geforce 5900
1gb ram or wgb with vista.

have a look at www.shipsim.com and select 2008- it lists specifications

Yes, bu you won't get 2008 running. My laptop has 2006 but won't run 2008.

Ship Simulator 2008 should work on my computer right?

I have an Intel Duo Core 2.13 Ghz and a GeForce 7300.

Hello Kyle, and welcome to the forum!

These are SS08's system requirements:

Operating system: Windows 2000, XP or Vista
Processor: Pentium 4 2.4GHz or AMD equivalent
Memory: 1GB (Windows 2000/XP) or 2GB (Vista)
Graphics card: GeForce 5900 or ATI 9600 Pro / X600 (128MB)
Audio devices: Sound card
Input controller: Mouse with scroll wheel
Optional controllers: Joystick, Joypad or Steering wheel

Your graphics card would suffice, but the processort does not meet the minimum requirements. It's only slightly slower, so perhaps you can get away with that if the rest of the pc is up to the task aswell and if you got all the drivers up to date and such.

There's more to it than just the processor and the graphics card though.

So when the rest is in order too, and preferably exceeds the minimum specs too, and your pc is properly maintained and updated, you might be able to run it just fine.

But if this is not the case, you could run into problems.  :-\

Fred

Hi Fred,

I downloaded the demo, and it worked fine.  My copy of Ship Simulator 08 is already on it's way to my house.  I sure hope it works!  My computer is fairly new, so I think it will work.  My computer is a Dell XPS-410 with Windows Vista.  It runs Flight Simulator X without any problems.  Thanks for the tips.

Hi Kyle,

I think you're allright then, if the demo runs fine. If the rest of the pc is in good shape, which it seems to be, that slight lack in processor speed shouldn't give you too much grief.

So, I'll just say "happy sailing!" in advance, so as not to jinx it..  ;D

Happy sailing!

Regards,
Fred
