Drama with my Trawler at Shipsim 2008 New Horizon
« on: July 17, 2008, 21:28:46 »

It was heavy sea I thought I could pass before the ship in the background reached my crossing but with the high waves the propeller was half time in the air so in spite of full speed I was not able to cross before the container ship was up just close to me. It was more loaded, no propeller in the air, and faster than you can think.

The ship came closer and closer. But in the last seconds I was saved at its shipside...

In fact this was thrilling for me like a very good film. I was able to have my camera with me so I could take some snapshots as you can see. But my cup o tea disappeared in front of the wheel....who take it ?

Really fun and learning to use New Horizon ! I am thankful that it is possible to sail a trawler in Shipsim 2008 and not only fast sportboats and pilots. Not any wrong in having lots of them. But I like fishingboats and and smaller trader ship so it is good if they have a chance too - and now we have that proudly nice steam tug boat once working on swedsh waters for many years thanks for making steam living in Shipsim too -. A really challenge to handle this fishing boat  in the heavy sea, rain, and darkness is coming like in this drama !

I am impressed of the Shipsim staff for create  missions that can make you taking art in  scenarios like this  which become nearly as reality, and though I am sitting at home !
