New Horizons release date!!

This has me a little worried, I purchased the New Horizons expansion a month ago and was told the release date was for the 26th of June, I hadn't heard from then so I sent an email and got this reply:

Ship Simulator 2008 Expansion Pack -PC NEW SEALED


The dates of PRE-SALES are set by the products distributor.

In the Case of the above product the distributor has now changed the release Date to the 24/07/08 .

We understand that there is nothing worse than having a release date slip.
We would like nothing more than being able to ship the product on the date the distributor initially tells us it will ship.

Because of this change in the release date we would like to offer you the following options.

1, Keep the item on order and we will ship is as soon as it arrives.
2, Choose another product and either receive a credit or pay the difference.

Of course if you have a different suggestion we are more then happy to try and assist.

Again we apologize for the delay in shipping, ( this is an unusual occurrence) as you can see by our feedback, we try very hard to ensure prompt supply
of all orders.

Hi Reece,

Yes, it was indeed released - at least for Europe - a while ago, but it looks like it takes a bit longer to get out there to Australia.

With a global distribution of a product, there really isn't one universal date on which they hit the shops, unfortunatly. Thel distributers might need more time. But as far as the addon itself goes, that has been released, so the release date hasn't slipped, but the distribution just takes more time than planned, the way I see it.

I am having the same problem. i purchased it off ebay and it said the release date is on the 11th of july.

Did I open up a can of worms! I just got this reply from VStep:

Dear Reece,
 even it  was our game you did not purchase on shipsim.com, so we did not receive your money, you need contact the  that store or website where did you made payment and ask immediately refund!

Ok, I have just discovered that the distributor is in fact Auran:

Yes, Auran is the one you need to contact and they act as subsidiary through Publisher Lighthouse Interactive.
