yeah

that would be great

in fact what would be better is all ships doing all operations as in real life

but hey, we may have to wait a while for that one, nice thought though.

Yes, but loading the ships does not change the draft as in real life.
although the draft changes the ships handling i don't believe even if they add that feature it will make any deference too the ship other then looks.

As Paul said, you can load containers aboard Vermaas or Sherpa using the Container Crane. There can only be one crane in the mission, and it can’t unload.
While only a few vessels can have visible cargo, you can load containers on any vessel—including the jetski. The only animation is with the Container Crane.
You can unload visible containers onto a wharf, or lose them overboard to float on the sea.
Marty

The reason you don’t see the draft change is the same as the reason you don’t see a semi-sub like Fjel, tides, canal locks with water level change, etc.—the present architecture of the simulator does not permit it. Changing the draft to truly represent change in lading would require that the ship dynamics also change.
Hopefully, the new simulator in 2009 will have those capabilities.

That tells you that you're not alone in thinking this. :)

Well... you're... right... ;)

But there should be a way to see how much oil or such you have on board.

With some of the Captains I know, you'd be lucky if they used the heads...
