Marseilles

HI all

I was sadly dissappointed to find POR had been removed from this server as it was challenging to get in and out of the port, but with the ships handling properties do-able.

In my personal opinon it should have been Lattitude that was removed because there is nowhere it can go.

The draft is way to big..

V-Step ... could you not change these ships back .. get rid of Lat and bring back POR please.

Pretty please with a cherry on top :D

Seriously it has affected my pleasure greatly ... I'm not really into the small boats that much and mainly use them only to explore a server .. then i change to something that gives a challenge.

IF anyone else agrees with me .. Show your support for this move .. please ;)

Hi Staggles, the ships in the different environments vary constantly..A good thing I think..
Actually, there are some places in Marseille where you can dock Latitude.. :)

Hi Salty

Thanks for the reply ..

I confess to being biased .. I am an ex P&O man ;)

I never did work the Ferries though , I worked on the Cruise Ships and covered many many ports around the world.

Anyway to conclude the POR does seem to have been hit hard and theres not many ports showing it atm.

That fact alone saddens me :/

Come on guys ... If we dont ask we dont get ;)

Besides .. im only asking for the POR to be returned to one server :D

Well, I agree it would good to keep the PoR in the server of Marseille.
I know it's a game but in real, there is no VLCC coming to this harbour except for dry docks, while there are lots of ferries to Corsica or North Africa.
VLCC go to "Fos sur mer" a big gaz/oil terminal on the west (which is not implemented in the game). I would like to see one day a lot of ferries and container traffic on the server like in real.

Yeah, I agree the PoR would be good kept on the server, but similarly the Latitude too... maybe get rid of one of the smaller boats?

The only reason why I say that is that most of the use for the tugs is on the latitude where you need 2 to get a decent entrance into the harbour (greater player interaction).... the Vermaas can get away without any tugs unless it gets stuck or the master wants assistance which is rare.

Can't wait now for the Bugsier to come online to try some proper active escort entrances to the harbours though :)

Hmm, I don't really see any spots for the lattitude to dock :-\. Could anyone post some pictures here of where some spots are? I myself am a popular harbour master on Marseille, and I do not see any places for the lattitude to berth. Also, I think V-step should leave the servers as they are, although I do like the idea of the P&O ferry being on that server ;). I do not have New Horizons and I'm probobly not going to get it so it would be terrible for v-step to put bugsier and hurkules atlas on marseille. I have never seen POR on the server before. Also, diddent they take the pride of rotterdam off the rotterdam servers?
