Waves behind ship (edited)
« on: July 15, 2007, 19:49:14 »

I miss the waves that a ship creates. Only some 2D moving images, but not the continues going waves behind every ship.

I hope this will be adjusted in the new patch.

Thanks

Niels  :)

 ;)Hi my name is tecumseh,
Listen, it's just a game. It's not like your really driving a ship.(but it sure does look like it).

Have you tried your graphics at maximum setting? I thought the fine mist of spray to be quite realistic. I would agree that for 2m waves that the spray could do with being increase, but I bet that would take a fair bit of processor power.

As one who spends a lot of time at the back of ships (they never knowingly reverse into icebergs ;)  ) I thought the wake behind PoR to be ever so realistic. The sea texture generally does give the sense of movement.

Hi,
Tecumseh, be carefull that might make your game run slow but if you have Half of your memory on your hardrive than your fine.

Even with a fast hard drive, virtual memory will never be anything like as fast as real memory. And it still needs main processor and graphics processor power.

I'm sorry guys. I was a littlebit to fast with judging.
I just went sailing with te P6 in Rotterdam (harbor) and i found out that the wind has something to do with the bow splashed, and low small waves, splashes really hard in front of your ship.
These waves behind every ship, not that white thing! (took this photo today)

Thanks for the comment.

I'm fine with the graphics, got it al on maximum. FPS must be around the 30 or even 40.
