Memory Diagnostic Tool
« on: March 04, 2008, 16:47:47 »

If you are running 'Windows Vista' then there is a 'Memory Diagnostic Tool' available to test you computer's memory.
If you type 'memory' at 'start search' when you click on the start button then 'Memory Diagnostic Tool' will show at the top of the column. When you click on 'Memory Diagnostic Tool' a box will appear in the middle of the screen giving you the option of starting now or next time you switch of the computer.
When the computer restarts the diagnostic tool will run and then, when it completes will start Windows.
If there is a problem you should remove all the memory modules and run the tool on each individually in slot 1.

That tool is also available on your vista cd, start your computer with the vista cd inserted like you are doing a reinstall, when the menu comes up the memory diag is there also.

A usefull bit of information, gents!

Thanks!

However, I'll put it in Small Talk if you don't mind, as it hasn't really got anything to do with General SS08 Discussions.

Regards,
Fred
