Greetings,JHB
Each time we started loading,it was always fun, specialy in summerseason. You can imagine why.
Even it's not one of the biggest vessels(only 1000 tons). It was an amazing vessel,in my point of view, well,it was my best ever.
The hull itself, was from 1939,however durring the years she's been'updated'.
The picture you see,of the bow, were the water comes over, that was a common thing. When we were just loaded, and you push the trottle fullpower.Thats the result.
When you load seasand(wet),like we do.In the beginning your not loading 1000 tons, but maybe 1300 tons.
So she will be deep in the water, one time i had about 50cm on my fordeck. This wil go away, when you start to pump the water out of the sand.Than the deck comes out of the end, about 20cm above the water.
If you want to see more of this vessel, just let me know.
Marc
