I see that the Ports of Call 2008 (http://www.portsofcall-game.de/) website has gone live. I don't think the sim parts are quite as good as SS2008, but it does have a good business side. I remember playing the original back in the early 80's on the Amiga and it was great, hopefully this will be as good/better.
This pic of "Queen Mary 2" leaving Sydney harbour (http://www.portsofcall-game.de/gamescreen.php?index=screens/screen_13.jpg) looks pretty good. I think I read somewhere that you can also use the game with 3d glasses for a stereo effect. It also states thaty there are 90 harbours in the game.
I think the initial release is German only. Hopefully they will find an international distributor like Lighthouse to sell the game abroad.
It would be fantastic if VStep and the Ports of Call guys could get together to produce a massive shipping business/sim game.
