« on: September 25, 2007, 23:35:03 »

Hi everyone,

I recently got sketchup6 and without hesitating I began working on a ship. This is my first attempt ever at creating anything in sketchup, though I have had some experience with AutoCAD. Enjoy!

THE SPECIFICATIONS

Length 14.07 metres – 46.1 feet
Width 3.8 metres 12.4 feet
Height 5.7m 18.4 feet
Draft 0.9 metres – 1.9 feet
Rudder 0.4m / 0.9m – 1.3f / 2.9f
Prop 0.6m – 1.9f
Engine 215hp V6 petrol engine
Top speed 18 knots
Tonage 15 Tons

All comments welcome, both positive and negitive critisism.

Btw keep and eye open for my next project, it's one ship/boat i've see alot of requests for.

More pictures to come.

Bon Voyage,

Lighthouse

Greetings,
Well, when this is your first try, than it's a very good start. In the mean time we all start to know how difficult 3-D modelling is.Specialy when you dont went to school for this. The only thing you should do is continue, your try-outs.You wil see in one year, maybe you are working than on more difficult 3-D programs.
Very good job, keep on with the good work.
Regards
Marc
