HELLO EVERYONE!

I have returned from my vacation just minutes ago. It's great to be back on the forum again, oh... and currently I will be working on a new ship model to place here on the forum as a welcome back from me to you to let you guys now that I'm really back!

Well I probably should say something about my vacation, yes? Well my whole family stayed in a caravan park right on the oceans edge and we had a day in day out view of all the ships coming into the Brisbane harbour in the distance! One ship, well it was a small canal ship I saw in the river is the next ship i'm going to model and hopefully it will be on here by Sunday, Monday at the very laters! Honestly I've got several modeling Ideas now just from going on vacation!

yeah I do have one picture of the vessel



It's a canal cruise vessel. It's just a small vessel where you just sit down and enjoy the sites with commitary from the captain.

Thank you all for your welcomes!!! Yes i had a wonderful time and the sun shone most days ;)

I spent all last night planning how I will go about modelling the vessel and today I will begin accually modelling the vessel in Sketchup.

hehe and that was my 100th post, Hooray!

Hiya,

I'm just keeping you guys up to date on my model in progress. Well I did say I will have it done by today at the latest but I have had a few unexpected things come up over my weekend so I didn't get to model the vessel as much as I had wished too. But hey... it's better to do it right than to stuff the whole thing up!

I'll keep you guys posted and to keep this topic, 'on'-topic i'll just say that it's great to be back and all your welcomes and well wishes have been greatly accepted!!

Hiya,

Firstly I apoligize for not have the vessel up on the forum like when I promised but I have had several other commitments that are more prioity than modelling. ;) I'm letting you know I have not given up on this model, infact I'll be working on it tomorrow on my other PC. I'd like you to know my model isn't exactly the same as the one I have pictured.

I have decided to boycote this modelling this ship but use the same guidline, aka the size, bridge etc. except the aft of the vessel which is more brought in unlike the real thing so I have decided to model a ship complete from scratch. ::)

This vessel is slightly larger than the one show and look alittle more sketchy but hey... I'm modelling in sketchup so either way it's going to look cartoony. :D

I will definetly keep ya'll posted on this! I will start a topic as soon as I finish the model. Date TBA.
