Upgrade for SS2006 users

Hi,

I am contemplating seriously to buy SS2006, but wonder what I will have to pay again for the upgrade to SS2008. Since it is coming real soon, I better wait until it is out or is there some kind of upgrade scheme (like MS did with Vista, people that bought XP in the last months before Vista did get a free upgrade to prevent consumers to postpone and eventually put off altogether).

This has been bought up before but i'm afraid to say no. So just wait until July i'd say. The good news is that i think the ss06 ships can go with ss08. So you might have to pay a small fee for those ships. I don't know.

Hi,

The SS06 and the SS08 are two different games, which do not compare to each other.
So it will be not possible to upgrade the SS06 to the SS08.

Of course, some of the environmentals and ships were developed for the SS06, but you will find them again in the SS08.

Ultimately all ships and enviroments will be in SS 2008, and the Titanic is likely to be in the initial release.  So it is definetly worth waiting.

Well, I paid he princely sum of £10 for ss06, so was worth it for the next few months.

I'm sure software dealers in all countries will be selling ss06 off cheap in anticipation of 08.

are all the ships (with the add-on pack installed) featured in SS2008 ? or should I run both SS2006 AND SS2008 to maximise my enjoyment of the game?

I am almost sure that all the ships form ss06 and the add-on will be in SS08 with some more improvements. I know the classic yacht will. That vedio shows it in the waves.
