Should have never become unavailable,, depends on when the store you are buying it at gets more.  Amazon.com has it listed as in stock for the english version.  Or you can get the digital version from shipsim.com

Ohh,, wonder why they would be out of stock on it.. wierd,, my guess would be that it might be a while since Horizons is comming out next month and they'll be making those instead.  That is just a guess though, so if you definatley want a boxed version immediatly your local game store or amazon.com would be your best bet.

Oh by the way, do you know how long it takes to download?

I dont know anymore for sure,but it took a while
However i think this has something to do with the power of your computer,i guess???
The only difference is if you have the boxed-versions,that you can make a collection of the sims from the first editions on.
And it is more easy if somethings goes wrong with you computer,the boxes is a back-up of your game.

Only took me a little while to download it but I have cable also.  Make sure you back-up the file though if you do digital. i.e. put it on a back-up drive or burn it to a dvd.  And make absolutly sure you put your serial in a tx file to save with the back-up just in case!
