The lights on the arie visser.
« on: December 29, 2007, 19:49:22 »

Hi All,

I searched the forum and found a topic, but didn'r answer my question. I tried posting but it says it hasn't been posted in for at least 120 days.

Anyway, how do you turn on the flashing blue light on the arie visser? In rescue missions, it is flashing, but no other time. Does anyone know?

Thanks! :)

I suspect that Vstep have built in a trigger such that when a mission includes going to a rescue the light is on, and when not on vital rescue service it will be switched off, just as it would be in reality. So if you want the blue light you must make a mission including a rescue. At least that is how I see it, of course I could be wrong, I frequently am ::).

Shame. I only wondered because a lot of people start sinking in multiplayer becasue they crashed etc. Eventhough no help can be given, it would be fun to turn on the light and go over there.

Ah well :D

I agree with Shippaddict:
If Traddles is right, there should be a possibility to turn on the flashing lights optionally by pressing a key.
What about the patrol boat P6? ...Does it have flashing lights, too?

I assumed the patrol boat was something like a police unit...

It is, but I don't know if there are any rescue missions. Sorry if I am wrong.

Hi folks,
I have just made a very small rescue mission to save one drowning sailor and guess what? the blue flashing light IS ;D on. ;D So for once I was right. I suspect, therefore, that the patrol boat light will be activated in the same way. perhaps try it and see ;).

One of the things that make Multiplayer less interesting at present is that it isn’t integrated with missions. Therefore some features designed to be used in missions are not available in multiplayer. If it were possible to make missions that required the interaction of two or more players, it could be interesting.

How very true Marty, Never mind, the game is really in its infancy yet.
