I've made up a mission
« on: October 29, 2007, 18:55:28 »

I've made up a mission so that I can make a journey from Rotterdam (where i did the misson "container mission" through the solent English channel and making a stop at the solent and then onto San Fransisco.

What i have problems with this is getting out of Rotterdam because last time I tried that I got breeched on some rocks.

P.S.I went right because I thought that was the right way to go to the channel.

P.S.S. I was in between the buoys when I got breeched.

A screenshot with situation and chart would be helpful...

P.S.The red X represents where I think I crashed.

better get on with the screen shot with the boat crashing

If you go close enough you should see a black sign saying "botlek"

I've got 7 pictures of the crash and they are in order.

This was the first time that I have put pictures together in a sideshow.

P.S. The numbers on the bottom of the pictures show you what place the picture should go in.

P.S.S.I wonder how I can escape that crash.

Hoped you liked the show.

Ben,
Probably no one has responded because the pictures don’t give them a clue. If you want to, you can send your mission to me as an attachment to the address in my tutorial. You can send just the .xml file; no need to Zip it.
Check the depths for bow & stern in the HUD. Are you in the white part of the chart or into the cyan?

The bow and Stearn read round about -14 and on the chart I was inside the white part of the river and not in the blue part.

P.S. I Can't make custom missions yet and so I can't post an attachment.

I’m sorry, Ben, I inferred from your first post that you had made a mission. If you are running a mission that someone else made, please tell me the title of that mission.

If you were using Vermaas, most of Rotterdam is too shallow for her. She draws 15 meters.

There is a place in the channel near where you indicated, where the depth is only 8 meters. It is light cyan color on the chart.
If you want to berth Vermaas in Rotterdam, you need to pick a spot off the Beerkanaal or Beneluxhaven.

Since you can’t choose your spot in free roaming, I suggest you use the Mission Editor.

If I was going to make a thread that I have made a mission i would call it I've made a mission and not I've made up a mission.:)
