Trying to re-install, having problems!
« on: March 02, 2014, 20:18:44 »

Hi folks, Having trouble installing My SSE after upgrading to Windows 7.  When I try to install it asks for the activation key, but refuses it due to me being already registered.  The other problem is that my email provider I used when I originally installed/registered SSE has turned it's servers off (Sky.com) and I am unable to receive any emails I am sent to reset anything.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Did you unregister the game first?

Go to www.shipsim.com:

Login: (if you cant remember your details you can always hit "forgot my password" or "resend activation code"

Then got to "orders & downloads" to retrieve your license keys.

You should go to 'Profile' here on the forum and register your product using the product keys of the purchases you have made and the full forum will be open to you including Technical support.

hope that helps

I've lost my game by the looks of it...

It won't accept my activation key, says it already being used (?) and BOTH my recovery emails have been shut down by the bastard providers (Sky and o2) so I cannot even get any password recovery emails etc, also, I have contacted Steam several time regarding this and there is no reply, THEY ARE HOPELESS!!!

Your activation key is already registered to you on your previous set up. You must, as has been mentioned, unregister the game before you can re-register it. I'm afraid I am not sure how you can do this if  you have wiped your previous operating system. You should contact Mr Robville or Mad Fred by PM and ask if they can help you. I do not understand why you are having problems with Email when using Sky. I have been using that Company for Email (and they supply my broadband) with no problems of any kind.

Regards,
Angus.

HI there, yes, because I haven't used my Sky email account for so long I missed the email they sent me telling me they were closing their servers for my group of email accounts!

I will try them thanks buddy, Steam were no help as usual (waste of time at best and a damn menace at worst they are, wish we could cut them out altogether!)

Cheers guys for your help!

Hi
As Traddles said, only Mr Robville and Mad_fred are the only ones that can sort the problem out for you - they are the only ones allowed to go into the reg servers and sort it out - I know this ain't much of help but nothing we can do
Thanks
