The Panama Canal is stunning and would make a fantastic addition to SSE, but don't hold your breath.

The Suez Canal is a ditch in the desert.

Suez Canal, it could ditch in the desert, but as I remember 15 years ago, going from Port Said to Suez, Sinai left a desert, and on the right, where Ismail is green.
