Ahoy TheBobBarker,
First of all, welcome to the Forum.
About the maps:
Do you mean the maps of the different environments in SSE? If so go to the website from the shipsim (www.shipsim.com in the NEWS Section) or click on  THIS LINK  (http://download.shipsim.com/Extremes/docs/SSE_hqmaps.zip) and save the file to your computer. Unpack that file (it's a .zip file) and you have a collection of all maps, ready to print.
Good luck and happy sailing
Aad

Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

Please keep in mind that the original map is saved with 72 ppi. So, before you print it, change that value to at least 200 ppi. Better try 300 ppi
When the text is still bad readable, cut the original map in four pieces, overwrite the text with any readable font in a readable colour (see attachment) and print it. Tape the four parts together and you'll end wit a huge map app 10 feet high and 8 feet wide.
Good Luck
Aad

BTW, for those who don't know ppi stands for Pixels Per Inch

Proberbly about 140 sheets of A4.  However, I would be more concerned about the amount of printer ink it will use.  :)

Okay lets see...

He requires 80 sqare feet of paper (10X8) and a sheet of A4 is 11.5 X 8.5 inches.  This is equal to 0.6788 Sq Ft.

80 Sq Ft divided by 0.6788 Sq Ft = 117.8 sheets of A4 paper.  However there will need to be a certain amount of overlap to allow the sheets to be stuck together so 120-130 sheets is proberbly a better estimate.
