Elbe, Jumbo Javelin and Furie free
« on: July 14, 2011, 16:07:55 »

This is it: Now that everybody moved to play Ship Simulator Extremes BUT there are some people that still play Ship Simulator 2008 (like me, but in some months I will be playing Extremes too), I think this was going to be a good idea: like so few users still play SS2008 I think it was going to be a good idea that we could download Elbe, Jumbo Javelin and Furie from shipsim.com for free, I think that Vstep is not going to win too much money with them now that Extremes is out!  ;)

Some packs like "Elbe super pack", "Jumbo Javelin super pack" and "Furie Super Pack"!

What do you guys think about this?

Nice navigation captains  :captain:

Hi,

although I don´t play SS08...

is it fair that a computer which was bought for lets say 1.500 Euro is being sold for 1.000 Euros 4 weeks later?

Why offering a product which isn´t sold to anybody any longer for the same price as it was when it was new?

...that´s business....supply and demand.

cheers

Ahoy Ingo,
Low supply, huge demand equals prizes are rising.
Huge supply, low demand equals prizes are dropping.

So, in this case low demand, as you told us, must effect the price but it doesn't.
So is this bad business strategy?

Well... that wasn't going to be fair to all of you have already built them ... for offer, you guys may have 3 boats free in Extremes

Was that going to be good? :P

I dimly recall that part of the proceeds from the sale of Furie & Elbe went for the preservation of those ships. It is probably not within VSTEP’s discretion to give them away.
I think that Javelin was free—at least until she sank on YouTube.

@aad....ahoi captain  :captain:

hm...I guess in our case we have low demand and low supply...it seams that this does neither lead to higher or reduced prices.  !:)

And not to forget that people should move to SSE (in the view of VSTEP)...and I´m sure that they would do that if the SSE would have been a real improvement...but it seems there are some doubts about that..

Cheers
