I thought that was RE...

Back in the days when I were a lad, I challenged my re teacher that as an athiest I should not be compelled to attend re lessons as it offended my scientific beliefs. I quited the school rules that permitted muslims, hindus, seiks etc to boycott the lessons (odd as it centered more around them than this jesus chris bloke).

This was of course in the days before "human rights, innit" took over the world. Permission was refused. So at every lesson: "Please, Mrs Green. According to Professor [insert name- usually Dawkin/Hawkings/Penrose] there is a equally compelling scientific reason for [insert pointless statement from re teacher]."

Two weeks later, I was thrown out of re classes. What a shame- home 1 1/2 hours early on a Friday afternoon... I thanked 'god' for that!

You mean religios studies/education? You call it 'core'?

I actually prefer to call it "brain washing"
