Manouvering vessels in SSE compared to SS2008
« on: October 31, 2010, 19:35:40 »

The bugsier tug is one of my favourite vessels in SS. In 2008 manouvering the bugsier worked like a dream but in SSE I can't get the hang of it. Try manouvering in reverse towards a point in both versions.
Also with some other vessels I had similar experiences though not that extrme as  with the bugsier.
My questions, does other players has experienced the same?
If so, are the SSE manouvering characteristics more like the real ones or do they need adjustment.

Are you aware that there is a slight, what you can call delay, in Ship Simulator Extremes in the controls? That, is, it takes a while for the azipods to turn, even though you can turn them very rapidly. Ship Simulator 2008 has azipods which react simultaneously with their controls.

now that you mention it..... I just tried it in both versions and, yes, you're right. Doesn't made it easier to control the bugsier.  Thanks for the response!

No problem. Bigger ships typically take longer to change speed, move their rudder, etc.

Hi Guy's
The controls for extreme's are more true to the real thing than in 2008 in any
real ship you get delay in responce to stopping /going astern this is in extremes.
